Ah, Atlanta, no city is quite like it, the culture, the food, the people, it’s a unique and beautiful place. Atlanta, Georgia combines the verdant openness of the South with Metropolitan flavor of mega cities like NY and LA. In other words, Atlanta is the perfect town for motor scooters.

When I come zipping around the the corner of Piedmont and 10th Street, and I see Piedmont Park spread out in front of me, it’s a wonderful feeling. Riding through a city on a motor scooter and driving through one in a car are completely different experiences. In a car, you’re ENCLOSED in an artificial environment. On a scooter, you’re passing THROUGH the streets, nodding to your fellow Atlantans with the sun on your face. Sounds cheesy maybe, but trust me, try it and you’ll know that feeling. A good gas scooter, whether Lance Powersports, Schwinn, or Vespa, is the absolute best way to get around in Atlanta, Georgia.

There’s scooters riders  everywhere from Ontaria to the tip of South America and all over Europe and Asia of course, but, to me, Atlanta is the best town in the world to be a rider. Unlike most other big towns we’ve got great weather for motor scooter riding practically the whole year round.  Also, the layout of Buckhead, Midtown, Georgia Tech, Downtown and the the Perimeter, are ideal for scooter transport. Check out some maps of the city to see what I mean. Plus, scooter transport in Atlanta is hands down the cheapest way to get around! Between the money you save in gas and the time you save as you whiz past stand-still traffic, you’re doing yourself a major financial favor.  Last, and best of all, scooter riding in Atlanta is FUN! This town is lazy and crazy at once and on your scooter, hugging curves, you really feel a part of it. Scooter enthusiasts know what I’m talking about. Those of us who ride every day, we can come up with a thousand more reasons scooter riding is vastly superior to all other forms of transport, but if you’re here then you’re probably already convinced and you’re shopping for something!
